The University of Wolverhampton is one of the country’s most successful modern universities, holding a distinctive place within the UK higher education sector and delivering excellence in teaching and research, widening access, and business engagement.  As the ‘University of Opportunity’ we’re currently investing over £250 million right across the University, which is the biggest ever investment in our history. Proud to be one of the region’s largest employers and an integral part of economic growth and social change, we offer a vibrant, challenging and friendly place to work.

The Director of Estates and Facilities will be responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of customer-centred services which underpin our academic and operational priorities. This is an opportunity to play a significant and highly influential role in helping us deliver our key strategic objectives, and as a member of the Corporate Management Team the potential for impact is extensive. Working closely with the Vice Chancellor, Board of Governors and Senior Leadership team, our new Director will bring the inspirational leadership required to deliver positive change and ensure the campus experience is consistently excellent and the learning environment is inclusive and reflects our considerable ambitions.

Familiar with delivering impressive results in complex, multi-site environments we are seeking an exceptional leader to initiate, develop and implement our estates and facilities strategies. Alongside your expertise in partnership working and delivering best in class services, experience of capitalising upon commercial opportunities is essential. You will bring a positive and collaborative leadership style along with engaging stakeholder management skills to ensure major change initiatives succeed. As an ambitious strategic leader, you will recognise the exceptional opportunity at our University which is a significant strategic force in the educational, cultural and economic development of the West Midlands.
