This exciting new post forms part of the University’s development of Regional Learning Centres, its commitment to lifelong learning, increasing local provision and responsiveness to the needs of students and employers, and to creating new pathways into Higher Education.  You will provide first line contact and a professional, outfacing and customer-focused service to all clients, partners and staff who visit or use the Centre.

The goal of the Stafford Centre is to increase the profile of Higher Education in Stafford and across the county of Staffordshire, particularly awareness of the University of Wolverhampton portfolio of programmes and services, and to deliver growth in student numbers. You will work within the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL), based in the Centre located at Staffordshire Place 2, Stafford.

The Centre Administrator will support the growth and success of the Centre by undertaking reception, administrative and clerical duties related to the operation of the Centre on a day to day basis and the strategic positioning of the University in Staffordshire. You will also provide part time PA support to the Dean of Staffordshire.

You will provide a key link to Faculties and Corporate Service Departments across the University to ensure that the Centre provides first class Information and Guidance on courses, events, admissions, Registry procedure and progression to HE, in conjunction with specialist advisors from the University Gateway team. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good knowledge of HE progression routes and courses on offer at the University of Wolverhampton at all levels.

As part of the Centre and CLL staff team, you will need to work flexibly to ensure the Centre offers an effective, efficient and responsive service based on local needs, and that the centre is always staffed during opening hours and session times.  Some evening and weekend work will be required.
