Wolverhampton School of Sciences delivers high quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes offering integrated placement year opportunities in research, medical and commercial settings. The Department of Biomedical Science and Physiology is an active and expanding area within the University and we are seeking to appoint a senior lecturer in Biomedical Science. The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and development of modules across undergraduate and postgraduate awards within Biomedical Science, and will take responsibility for core areas of teaching (Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology) on our IBMS-accredited programmes. The appointee will also contribute to Awards delivered by other Schools within the Faculty.

 

The appointee will need to demonstrate either their independent research potential in a research area which will complement or enhance the Faculty Research Strategy in the area of Immunology or Clinical Biochemistry or a related discipline, or will be able to contribute professional practice experience or teaching and learning expertise to complement or enhance the Faculty Teaching & Learning Strategy.

 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a good honours degree or equivalent and a doctorate in an area related to Immunology or Clinical Biochemistry. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes.
