This is a permanent, full time post (part-time will be considered)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer for our Nursing Associate foundation degree apprenticeship course and to contribute to the wider provision of pre-registration nurse education. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their academic career for the future and is passionate about developing the role, as part of the nursing profession. Effective organisational skills and an understanding of curriculum design are essential features of the post, as are the ability to engage with external partners.

Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within nursing are a requirement of the role alongside the maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement of the student experience. The post-holder will have a commitment to engaging with the practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills enabling the delivery of a dynamic, responsive curriculum.  You will contribute to the development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners and the generation of external income for the University.

You will be educated to a minimum of a Master’s* degree level or equivalent and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (RN) in any of the four fields of nursing.  Experience of working in higher education is desirable but not essential. The successful applicant will be well supported in their role to realise their potential.

Previous unsuccessful interviewees within the last six months need not apply.

Individuals nearing completion will be considered
