Senior Lecturer Mental Health Nursing (2 Posts)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic compassionate lecturer/senior lecturer to contribute to the provision of high quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health. You will teach across a range of pre and post-registration nursing courses at both Bachelors and Masters Level. The role will include maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement to the student experience, development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners and the generation of external income for the University.
You will be educated to a minimum of a Master’s degree level and completed or working towards Doctoral level study is also desirable. You will be currently registered in the UK with the NMC as RN (Mental Health or dual qualified). You will have experience of healthcare provision at an appropriate level within nursing. You will have an understanding of healthcare policy and provision both locally and nationally and have a commitment to engaging with the clinical practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills relevant to nursing practice in order to deliver a dynamic, responsive curriculum. Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within nursing are also a requirement of the post, to contribute towards the portfolio of nursing and the profile of the faculty.
Applicants with expertise in dementia care would be welcomed to support the delivery of dementia care education both within the university and with healthcare providers. However, this is not a requirement for application.
