Head of School of Pharmacy
The University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Head of School for Pharmacy. Opening initially in 2006 the School of Pharmacy is now fully established and benefits from full accreditation of the MPharm and independent prescriber programmes by the General Pharmaceutical Council. In addition the School also offers undergraduate programmes of study in Pharmaceutical Science and Pharmacology as well as taught masters and PhD by research. The University has recently invested in new state of the art teaching and research infrastructure for Pharmacy with the intention of maximising the quality of the teaching and learning experience for our staff and students.
You will be an exceptional individual and capable of evidencing significant achievement in pharmacy education, research and/or practice at national and international level. You will possess the organisational skills necessary to co-ordinate and participate in the delivery of teaching, research and income generation. You will have the ability to develop effective collaborative links with pharmacists in academic, hospital, community and industrial sectors. You will have a clear vision for the future development of pharmacy education, research and practice, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate others using effective team building skills.
A professorial post will be available to applicants who are able to evidence an outstanding track record in research consisting of relevant, peer-reviewed publications, successful research student supervision and completion, and external income generation.
