Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer/senior lecturer to contribute to the provision of high quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health. You will support the delivery of pre-registration adult nurse education predominantly at Walsall and Burton campuses.
Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within nursing are a requirement of the role alongside the maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement of the student experience. You will have experience of teaching and mentoring students and a commitment to maintaining up to date knowledge and skills enabling the delivery of a dynamic, responsive curriculum. You will contribute to the development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners and the generation of external income for the University.
You will be educated to a minimum of a Master’s degree level and will be registered in the UK with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse (RN) (Adult Field). Experience of healthcare provision within nursing is essential alongside an understanding of healthcare policy and provision both locally and nationally.
You will be fully supported in completing a PGCE (where necessary) and will join our well-motivated, friendly nursing academic team. This post is part of our growing nurse education portfolio, aspiring to make a difference to the education of our nurses of the future.
