Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic lecturer/senior lecturer to contribute to the provision of high quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health, within the pre-registration nursing team. The role will include maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement to the student experience, development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners and the generation of external income for the University.
You will be educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent and be currently registered with the NMC as RN (Adult Field). You will have experience of healthcare provision at an appropriate level and an understanding of healthcare policy and be currently working within an adult nursing practice or nurse education environment. You will have experience of teaching and mentoring students (sign of mentor status is desirable). You will have a commitment to engaging with the clinical practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills relevant to the field of Adult nursing practice; in order to deliver a dynamic, responsive curriculum.
You will be fully supported in completing a PGCE where necessary and will join our well-motivated, friendly nursing academic team. These posts are part of our growing nursing portfolio, aspiring to make a difference to the education of our nurses of the future, at all levels.
