Human Resources Business Partner (0.4 FTE)

We are currently seeking to recruit a HR Business Partner to provide a service to a portfolio of Faculties and Corporate Services Departments. The role of the HR Business Partner at the University is to maintain credibility as an expert adviser on people strategy and to support all strategic HR related matters, working in partnership with senior members of staff. The expectation of the role is to provide a high quality service to both Deans of Faculty and Directors of Corporate Service Departments, and to actively contribute to an ongoing corporate provision as a member of the Faculty/Department’s senior management team.
Applicants must have significant professional managerial experience as a specialist and/or generalist in Human Resources within a large and diverse organisation. You must possess an in depth knowledge of employment law and proposed changes to legislation. Proven communication and influencing skills, especially at senior levels of an organisation are required, and problem solving skills are essential. Applicants should have experience of successfully developing and managing complex change programmes and projects. As an employer with recognised trade unions, a successful track record of managing employee relations in a unionised environment within a large and complex organisation is essential.
