The University of Wolverhampton is home to a large community of Deaf and Hearing-Impaired students and staff. The extensive community is one of the largest in any higher education provider in the UK, reflecting our academic expertise in Deaf Studies, Interpreting and outstanding support for students.
Our team of BSL Interpreters provide BSL interpreting, communication support and translation for students and staff who are Deaf and whose first or preferred language is BSL to ensure equal access to the curriculum, workplace, academic and University environment.
We would welcome applications from suitably qualified and skilled interpreters to join our expert team in providing outstanding support for students.
*Average Hours: The contract type that is offered is flexible – including access to all the benefits of employment with the University; annual leave entitlement, pension; sickness and other employee benefits. The Average Hours contract type is the standard way in which we engage support professionals where there is a fluctuating demand for support within the academic year. The contract type is flexible and we can offer a range of hours to suit your availability from 10 to 37 hours per week.
