The School of Art is seeking to appoint a 0.6 permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Art and Design (Foundation Year).

You will have a Master’s degree or equivalent in an art and design discipline with broad technical and material skills.  You will be an excellent teacher with experience at undergraduate level in Higher Education and the knowledge to support students’ transition from Further Education to HE. You will have a professional teaching qualification. You should have an excellent personal artistic or design practice and demonstrate an interest in developing teaching around drawing, three-dimensional modelling, photography, digital processes, studentship and contextual ideas generation. You will be expected to contribute to a growing School of Art interest in art and design pedagogical research. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to demonstrate the ability to work with members of teaching and technical staff from across the School, and to coordinate a range of workshops and teaching opportunities in the different subject disciplines.
