Senior Programme Monitoring Officer
Temporary Maternity Cover until 31st January 2018
Working across the University’s European and UK funding portfolios to ensure a consistent monitoring approach is adopted to meet organisational and project audit requirements. To manage a small team of Programme Monitoring Officers, mentoring and developing them, whilst supervising monitoring procedures for your own designated externally funded projects.
Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in Business or Administration Management you will have a track record as a highly effective administrator, with line management experience and advanced IT skills. You should have extensive knowledge of European and UK project monitoring procedures and experience of dealing directly with funding bodies. The post requires the ability to recognise trends in data and identify and flag inconsistencies and errors as monitoring budgets and financial reporting will be necessary. You will have highly effective report writing skills including statistical analysis and experience of monitoring project outcomes. Experience of project management anda variety of funding initiatives would be advantageous. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated, able to undertake a diverse range of duties working independently to meet deadlines.
