We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic practice educators to contribute to the provision of high quality practice based teaching within the Institute of Health Professions. These new posts are being developed to predominantly support the work based learning on our exciting new Trainee Nurse Associate programme. The roles will include the education of trainee nurse associates within the practice environment, maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement to the student experience, development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners and the generation of external income for the University.


You will be educated to a minimum of degree level (2.1 or above) and will be currently registered in the UK with the NMC as RN (Adult Field/Mental Health Field). You will be willing to undertake a PGCE in higher education and to further completion of Master degree, where appropriate.  


You will have experience of healthcare provision at an appropriate level within nursing. You will have an understanding of healthcare policy and provision both locally and nationally. You will have a commitment to engaging with the clinical practice environment and maintain up to date knowledge and skills relevant to nursing practice; in order to deliver a dynamic, responsive curriculum. Enthusiasm for teaching and development of learners is a fundamental aspect of the role. Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within nursing are also a requirement of the posts, to contribute towards the portfolio of nursing and the profile of the faculty.
