Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Environmental Health (0.5 FTE)
An exciting opportunity exists to join the team delivering our BSc (Hons) Environmental Health award that is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. As part of the ‘Our Vision, Your Opportunity’ £250m investment, the University is strengthening its existing campuses to include innovative learning, teaching and research facilities that will see the School of Architecture and Built Environment move to the new Springfield Centre of campus. The School of Architecture and Built Environment is therefore seeking to build on its outstanding reputation in delivering first-class Environmental Health learning and teaching by recruiting additional lecturing staff to meet the demands of this exciting opportunity and growing student numbers. You will be joining a course with a reputation for delivering a practitioner focused programme where student employability is a significant part of the teaching. Our course has recently been re-accredited by CIEH who commended the practical nature of the course and the support for students.
You will possess a BSc (Hons), Masters’ degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and be a full voting member of the CIEH (hold an Environmental Health Registration Board Certificate). You will have an excellent track record in regulating all five intervention areas of Environmental Health and initiatives gained in either the public and/or private sectors. You will be of the highest calibre, with the interest, motivation and experience to contribute to the development of innovative programmes of teaching and research in this area. You will become an active member of a thriving Environmental Health team and support its growing reputation in research.
