We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Practice to contribute to the provision of high quality teaching and research within the Institute of Health Professions. You will teach across a range of modules on the pre-registration paramedic courses and also on relevant post-registration CPD courses. The role will include taking responsibility for admissions to the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science programme (support will be provided) as well as the maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement of the student experience. You will need to be committed to the development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners, and the generation of external income for the University.


You will be educated to a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and preferably have completed, or be working towards, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. You will be currently registered with the HCPC as a paramedic and have significant clinical experience in paramedic practice. Experience of teaching in an academic or clinical setting is essential and candidates with a research profile are welcomed. Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within paramedic practice are also a requirement of the post, in order to contribute towards the paramedic portfolio and the profile of the faculty.
